The urban planning and historical significance of the location - the quarter has the famous Schinkel Church and the soon to be reconstructed Bauakademie as neighbours - placed high demands on the architectural firms involved.

After winning the urban planning competition in 2000, a masterplan was drawn up for the reconstruction of the historic urban development. True to the historical city plan, the course of Falkoniergasse was once again created.

The construction of a total of eleven townhouses was carried out in a correspondingly detailed manner.

Townhouses 2 and 3 on Oberwallstrasse, house 11 on Falkoniergasse and the ground floor area of houses 7 and 8 on Werderscher Markt are clad in travertine or limestone. Each of the houses has its own unmistakable face, which is reflected in the details. The entrance areas are partly set back and emphasised by differently shaped recesses.

Houses 9 and 10 were redesigned during the course of the project by architects Anton Ummenhofer for use by the Embassy of the Republic of Angola.
