The municipality of Wandlitz in the northern suburbs of Berlin has had a high demand for affordable housing and commercial space for years. In the Wandlitz district of Basdorf, a new nature-oriented residential quarter with a total of 150 rental apartments was built on part of the site of the former police academy.
The site comprises 20 three-storey buildings: eight garden houses, four city villas, six multi-storey apartment buildings and two maisonette houses. With living spaces ranging from 48 to 153 sqm, the two- to five-room apartments, available as floor units or functional living units, offer a home for every lifestyle.
