The new building for the 4-star hotel was constructed in a wide gap between buildings on Chausseestrasse in Berlin-Mitte.

The building has several whings and grows deep into the plot. With 389 rooms, the hotel has a total of seven above-ground floors and two additional underground floors. A striking staggering of the two upper floors simultaneously creates a harmonious relationship with the neighbouring buildings.

The radiantly bright façade of the new building is characterised by the combination of a strict grid and sculptural elements. It is structured by elegantly proportioned window openings, flat bevelled reveals and decorative elements, so that individual storeys can be read.

The differently treated but uniformly light beige-coloured elements made of cast stone combine to form a sculptural overall surface. While the relief pattern on the street façade has a playful character, the architects opted for a simpler, vertically structured counterpart on the courtyard side.
