Through the conversion of this historic building to a luxurious home for the elderly it was possible to find an appropriate use for the late Baroque manor house, which was built in 1750 and extended in 1888 by Martin Haller.

Two symmetrical extensions were added on either side of the manor house. They complement the building accordingly but are slightly offset from the building and given a modern treatment, clearly indicating their contemporary origins. In particular, the large imposing interiors on the ground floor could be retained in their original form without subdivisions and are used as communal rooms and a café. The existing decorative elements - the stucco in all the rooms, the richly decorated wooden staircase and the paintings - were restored with the utmost care and the windows replaced with replicas of the originals.
