The Bismarck-Karree is located in the heart of Berlin-Charlottenburg. The corner building replaces a heterogeneous row of repeatedly remodelled, outdated existing buildings from the last century and creates a new striking point of reference.

Retail on the ground floor and a health centre consisting of doctors' surgeries and a fitness studio on the floors above form part of the urban mix of uses. An old building from the Wilhelminian era in Wilmersdorfer Strasse, which is worthy of preservation, has been refurbished as a residential and commercial building with flats and complements the existing offer with shops on the ground floor and first floor.

On the street side, the perforated façades of the new building are made of suspended, rear-ventilated travertine. Generous horizontal window segments divide the façades at regular intervals and are positioned across the corner of the building, thus avoiding both a hierarchy and a formal separation of the two street sides of the building.
