The warehouse, built in 1924, is located directly on the quay edge of the river Elbe. In connection with the redevelopment of the immediate surroundings of the warehouse, it was renovated and converted in order to further improve the former port area.

The historical dimension of the storage facility remained unchanged and is therefore different from many other storage facilities on the edge of the Elbe, which have often received an addition. This meant that the monument value of the building was particularly taken into account.

The main premise of the design was to emphasize the strong structural structure inside the storage as a defining element of the appearance. Thanks to the concept of internal insulation and internal sealing against flooding, the brick facade was able to be preserved with its traces of time. The modern window elements interpret the historical original condition.
