At the couple's last freely chosen place of residence, Koepenicker Strasse 48 in Berlin-Mitte, two Stolpersteine were laid on 9 May 2025. They are intended to commemorate the life and courage of the couple in their resistance struggle against the Nazi regime.

The trained technical draughtsman Erich Garske was arrested by the Gestapo at Koepenicker Strasse 48 on 30 January 1943. His wife Charlotte Garske was arrested on 17 February 1943 and sentenced to death together with her husband on 9 November 1943. Erich Garske was executed on 13 December 1943 in Brandenburg-Goerden prison. Three days later, Charlotte Garske was murdered in Ploetzensee prison.

Today, the coe48 project stands on this site.
