Exhibition at Architektur Galerie Berlin, January 20 – March 04 2017

Images from Berlin are Cubix Cinema at Alexander Platz, Museum for Architectural Drawing at Pfefferberg, nhow hotel at the former East Port, Sterncenter in Potsdam, Hamburger Hof near Hackescher Markt - these and other buildings in the city of Berlin, where Tchoban Voss Architekten have been working since about 20 years.

Eleven artists contemplated these different projects in their individual way and now share with us their impressions in eleven artworks, each of them different in scale and technique - from classic drawing to coloured tape. The content vary as well, focusing sometimes on a precise depiction of an architectural object and sometimes on the atmosphere evoked by the particular urban surrounding.

The show reflects the quintessence of Tchoban Voss Architekten, no matter how different the artistic input may be: it is about an architecture, which respects individual demands without losing its own characteristic means of expression – the contrast, the surface structure, the combination of detail and the whole.
