Titanic Hotel Chausseestraße
Berlin | 2016
New hotel with 388 rooms, restaurant, conference hall, large wellness area and an underground car park

The new-build 4-star Hotel Titanic filled a wide vacant lot on Chausseestrasse in Berlin's central Mitte district, its multiple wings stretching deep into the plot. With 388 rooms throughout the five-storey hotel, the building has a total of seven storeys above ground and two below. The façade of the new building was designed to appear both stringent and prestigious. The structure is characterised by elegantly proportioned window openings, flat bevelled reveals and sculptural decorative elements, making storeys and hotel rooms readable from the exterior. The entrance proceeds straight into the lobby and to a glass-roofed atrium. The restaurant seats 120 to 150. The ground-floor function room boasts a 10-metre ceiling and can be configured for up to 1,400 guests, offering ample room for events in a wide range of sizes and formats. The breakfast room, multi-space conference area and business centre share the first floor with the administrative area. Above this are the hotel rooms, 14 of them fitted for use by disabled guests, a further 20 disabled-friendly. The SPA area is a special feature of the hotel and is equipped with pool, Turkish steam room and sauna, all spread over extensive sections of the two basement levels. These levels also contain a car park with 189 bays.
