The Bethanien Deaconesses Foundation intends to restructure its area in Hamburg Eppendorf in future in order to offer a top quality senior citizen's home with support, care and common Christian life at their historically grown site. New apartments will be provided for the Deaconesses as replacement for the "Mother House".
The complete new buildings with the most different types of living and community in connection with the Deaconesses' "mandate" for the care with the following possibilities of use: Service living, apartments for the sisterhood, living under care, public event area with chapel, social station, reception/meeting yard, administration area, restaurant and wellness area. The property is bordered by Martini, Tarpenbek and Frickestrasse. The main entrance, the entry and exit of the basement garages as well as the farm yard are situated at Martinistrasse. Another entrance to the supervised living areas is at Frickestrasse. The ensemble of three buildings with four to six full storeys is grouped around three yards with different function and character. The area of the buildings, most of them with cellar, covers approx. 16,650 sqm.
